LGBT Life at University Welcome to NTU Pride's guide to LGBT life at university guide! These pages should provide you with some information about being LGBT while at University. Going away from home to University gives you independence and a real chance to be yourself - you may be just coming to terms with your sexuality, or wanting to come out to friends, flatmates, or your family. It's not always easy being gay, bi, lesbian or trans, but there are people here who can help. We hope the information here will be helpful, but there are more people out there you can contact for help. Anyone can contact the Male or Female Co-ordinators who are here to give advice, help and meet you to bring you to a social or to talk about what the Society can offer. Around Nottingham you can also find organisations and groups who are there to offer advice, support and social groups to anyone seeking it. The Student Support staff at NTU and the Students Union are always willing and on hand to help. Getting more help There are many places, groups and organisations around Nottingham that can offer more advice, support and social groups. You can also contact the NTU and NTSU student support services on each campus who offer free counselling and advice to all students. For links and contact information to many of the social groups around the City, go to the Community Links page ![]() |
