10/09/2007 - New Website Launched
The brand new NTU Pride website is now online with more features and
services including welfare and support sections, member reviews and an
interactive photo gallery.

Society Community Award
The Society won the Society
Community Award at the 2nd Annual NTSU Awards night in recognition of
our increased and close work with areas of the LGBT community including
the GAI Project, Nottinghamshire Police, the City Council and the
ongoing involvement with the organisation of the Nottingham Pride event.
10/02/2007 - Pridebox Scheme Launched
NTU Pride has launched the new 'Pridebox' at
all three campuses. The Pridebox contains a range of free information
leaflets and brochures including male and female sexual health, HIV,
advice on telling your parents, the GAI Guide to Nottingham and free
condoms and lube. You can find the Pridebox at the SOAP Station in City
Site and Union Central at Clifton and Brackenhurst Campuses.
15/11/2006 - Full Committee Now Elected
The remaining vacancies on the NTU Pride Exec have now been filled.
These positions were left vacant after the AGM last year; at the EGM
the Male and Female Co-ordinators and Treasurer were filled, as was the
new position of Membership Rep which was created when the new
Constitution was ratified at the same meeting. For full details of the

Nottinghamshire Police Representation
NTU Pride has accepted a place on the
Nottinghamshire Police LGBT Advisory Group. The group meets quarterly
and is attended by representatives from most LGBT organisations around
the county to provide feedback and advice to the Police on their
efforts within the LGBT community. NTU Pride represents all students at
Nottingham Trent University on LGBT issues.

New Foresters Sponsorship Agreed
Debbie at the New Foresters has generously agreed to sponsor NTU Pride
in exchange for advertising on our website, and holding some of our
socials and events at New Foresters. She will also be putting money
towards Society hoodies that will be available to buy soon. This
sponsorship and extra funding will allow us to run more events and to
expand our welfare and online services.

Nottingham Pride 06
Over 10,000 people attended Nottingham Pride this year in the Arboretum
Park, with 6 live acts, 75 market stalls and caterers, therapists and
holistic treatments, this year saw the biggest and most successful
Pride yet. NTU Pride was at the event for the first time giving out
information about the University, and raising awareness of NTU in the
LGBT community with more planned for next year! Nottingham Pride 2007

Society Progress Award
Tonight was the 1st NTSU awards night for Societies, Junction and RAG.
NTU Pride recieved the 'Society Progress Award' for the overall
improvement of the Society over previous years efforts. Thankyou to
everyone who has supported us this year and helped us get this award!
08/05/2006 -
Society Name Changed Officially
Everyone who came to the Society EGM in March voted to change the name
of the Society from 'LGBT' to 'NTU Pride', and this was made official
at Union Council today; we are now recognised as the NTU Pride Society
within the Students Union. This is the first stage of our major
relaunch for next year.

New NTU Pride Wednesday Meeting Times
The offical meeting of NTU Pride will now be held monthly, on the
second wednesday of each month at 8pm in Lord Roberts. The Friday
social meeting will continue as normal. For further details see the
Membership page.
16/02/2006 -
Society's Name Changed until EGM
Following Wednesday's AGM the society's name has been temporarily
changed to LGBT until a final vote is made at the EGM in two weeks.
01/12/2005 -
Lord Roberts and @d2 Reopen
The Lord Roberts and @d2 have reopened this week, meaning the
society will now be meeting as normal.
25/11/2005 -
Temporary Meeting place Change
Lord Roberts and @d2 have been closed down due to the new
licencing laws introduced this year. Because of this, the society will
now be meeting in The Central instead at the same times (8pm
Wednesdays, and 9pm Fridays) until Lord Roberts and @d2 reopen. |
